Vondie Woodbury, MBA
Founder
Vondie Woodbury has over 40 years of practitioner experience in community organizing, public policy and health improvement strategies. Her professional work has targeted the intersection of Population Health Management and traditional hospital community benefit within Trinity Health, where she previously served as Vice President of Community Benefit. While at Trinity, Vondie oversaw the system-wide implementation of Affordable Care Act requirements for Community Benefit and led a team responsible for the oversight of internal grant making and reporting on system goals and strategies. Beginning in 2016, she has served as a consultant to both the state CHIR team and later the Muskegon CHIR site.

Dr. Mary McDonald
Consultant
Dr. Mary McDonald has successfully worked with nonprofit and governmental collaborative groups in Muskegon in staff and consulting roles. She supported and assisted a number of advisory and volunteer boards including the Domestic Violence Task Force as Executive Director of Every Woman’s Place, the Family Coordinating Council in her role with the Muskegon Community Foundation and the Community Health Innovation Region’s Steering Council (CHIR) as the Director and now, consultant to that effort. She successfully worked to establish a Core Leadership Team for the County-wide Livability Lab effort. Her published doctoral research was on collaborative networks in Muskegon. She has extensive experience building diverse coalitions and supporting their collective efforts.

Kerri VanderHoff

Kerri VanderHoff is an independent consultant specializing in broad-based community collaborations across public, private, and non-profit sectors. She has contributed to this work through a variety of positions, from executive director to project manager to communications lead. With three decades of experience in marketing, public relations, and overall communications strategies, and a master’s degree focused on media studies from the University of Chicago, Kerri understands how to successfully connect, motivate, and inspire people and organizations toward a common goal. A recent effort of note in Muskegon County is with the Muskegon CHIR’s Livability Lab., where she served as the communications lead, and a contributing architect of the design and implementation of Livability Lab.

Kim Marie Wood M.A., M. Ed
Consultant
With more than thirty-five years of experience as a professional educator, Kim has developed a broad range of skills that make her an effective independent consultant. Grant writing, grant evaluation, survey and assessment development/implementation/evaluation are some of the focus areas where she can bring valuable assistance to a project or organization. Kim joined the CHIR Livability Lab Design Team two years ago, bringing a strong skill set related to research, data collection, reporting and the visualization of data to tell a story. She utilizes a broad range of software and online tools to effectively connect stakeholders with valuable information, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe PageMaker, iMovie, Google Drive, and Zoom, as well as a broad range of social media platforms.

Marquis Childers, B.S., Sports Management
Consultant
Marquis specializes in community organizing and resident engagement. He has been instrumental in the development of neighborhood associations in the City of Muskegon Heights and currently is a member of the Executive Board of the Neighborhood Associations of Michigan (NAM) Marquis has been a member of the CHIR Design Team for the past three years. His work with the CHIR includes social cohesion and creating positive structural change through the empowerment and amplification of resident voice.
